My name is Rowan Anicho, I am a photographer from Sonoma California.

I am deeply fascinated by life & I love how photography encourages me to explore further & connect with more people.

I have a deep passion for well made things, from architecture, technology & clothes to music & food.

I appreciate traditional cultures & love hearing different languages spoken. Growing up the child of a German immigrant & attending a dual-immersion Spanish school I’ve ended up conversational in Spanish & German.

I value authenticity, transparency, empathy & enthusiastic effort.

I see photography as a tool for connection; connecting moments across space & time, connecting people from different cultural & linguistic backgrounds.

I feel it is my responsibility as a photographer to understand the context in which I am making photos & conduct myself in a respectful, considerate manner.

I recognize the ways that my presence with a camera can influence a space, I prioritize establishing relational rapport over carelessly pursuing an image.
